The Social Action Committee at Temple Israel partners with HOPE Community Services to help fight food insecurity in our community, by making complete Thanksgiving meal for families in need.
The Community member donates either $36 for a Traditional Meal (Turkey, Cranberry Sauce, Stuffing, Sweet Potatoes, and Corn Bread) or $12 for a Kosher Meal (Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Corn Bread, and Turkey Gravy, supporting HOPE’s Kosher Pantry). Once they donate, they receive a feather that they can write their name(s), and proudly hang with the turkey display in the Temple Lobby.
