Sukkot is a festival for giving thanks for many things, like food and shelter, celebrating the farmer’s yearly harvest which takes place in the fall, and commemorating the biblical story of the Jews’ escape from Egypt. | Simchat Torah celebrates the completion of the annual cycle of reading the entire Torah in Temple. |
