When

January 14, 2022
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Event Type

Join us at Temple Israel, and on LiveStream, while we commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as well as join in song together for Shabbat Shirah!

So may we, the proud members of our Temple Israel family, and all who join with us at our service on Friday, January 14th, celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King, inspired in moments of prayer and reflection to keep the dream alive, and in so doing, do our part and make the choices that will help to bring an end to systemic racism, anti-Semitism, and hatred in all its forms. Yes, together we shall overcome. – Rabbi Jay Rosenbaum

Rev. Victor T. Hall, Sr., Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Jamaica (Queens) will deliver the sermon.

Please check the Temple website or the IRC’s website www.ircnr.org for updates. If you would like to make a goodwill offering in the spirit of Dr. King, please consider making a donation to the Equal Justice Initiative www.eji.org

(Note, this service begins at 6:30 pm, not 6:00 pm as advertised in Temple Topics).

Masking and vaccination are required when gathering at Temple Israel:
