Purim Chavaya/Social Action Mitzvot
There are four Purim Mitzvot that we are commanded to do when celebrating the holiday.
1. Reading the Megillah
2. Sending Mishloach Manot (gifts of food and drink to family and friends)
3. Eating a special meal
4. Giving Matanot L’evyonim (gifts of food to those who are food insecure). Consider the Brotherhood & Sisterhood Food Bank Challenge for this one! The Festival of Purim will be the official kickoff to this Food Bank Challenge. Brotherhood/Sisterhood will be starting this effort by pledging $1,000! Join them in helping those in need and fulfilling this commandment of Purim!
