SCHEDULE
9:30 am Light Breakfast kick-off sponsored by the Brotherhood

9:00 am-1:30 pm we will be hosting a BLOOD DRIVE. To register to donate blood, click here!

10:00 am Projects begin!

  • First Responders Appreciation: Create yummy treat packages for the New Rochelle Police Department. Officers will also be visiting with their vehicles!
  • Humane Society Animal Toys: Create toys for dogs and cats currently living at the Humane Society as they wait to be matched with loving homes. A dog from the Humane Society will also visit the group with a volunteer who will teach us about the organization.
  • Toiletries for The Jewish Board: Put together packages of toiletries for teen girls.
  • Summer Craft Packages for Kibbutz Bar Am: Create packages with bubbles, chalk, and more, for children from Kibbutz Bar Am who were evacuated from their homes following the October 7th attacks. They are currently living in a hotel in Tiberias.
  • Courtyard Gardening: Join Temple Israel’s very own Lisa Eichler for helping prune, weed and plant in the temple’s courtyard.

1:00 pm: Join Temple Israel clergy at Sharon Gardens as we partake in the Mitzvah of burying Genizah (prayer books and other items with God’s name).
