It’s Back! Brotherhood Invites You for a Private Tour & Nosh
on the Lower East Side! 

Sunday, July 9th
9:30 am, meet at Temple Israel

The day begins with a tour of Bialystoker Synagogue (7-11 Bialystoker Place/Willett St., between Grand St. & Delancey Streets), stopping at Moishe’s Kosher Bakery, and a walking tour of Historic East Broadway. A pickle stop, a bialy treat, and a doughnut delicacy round out the beginning of the afternoon until the Beth Hamedrash Hagadol tour at 1:45 pm, and finishing up with a few more stops before 2:10 pm.

We will carpool together from Temple Israel to NYC. Please let us know if you will be meeting us at the Bialystoker Synagogue promptly at 10:45 am. You can see the details here!

Some notes: 

  • The program is rain or shine; please dress accordingly
  • A portion of your fee is donated to each synagogue visited. However, participants are invited to make individual donations at each synagogue during your visit.
  • The synagogues are 19th and early 20th century buildings and there will be stairs to climb.
  • Photography is permitted.
  • Women may wear slacks, but are requested to dress respectfully; men are requested to wear skull caps or another head covering (each synagogue provides them).
