With daughters serving in the military, a career as an educator, and deep dedication to Israel’s democracy, Uri offers a personal, human perspective beyond the headlines. Uri Feinberg was the guide for TINR’s Israel trip in February.

About Uri Feinberg

Uri Feinberg has been a Jewish educator for over 30 years. Born in the U.S. and raised in Jerusalem, he served in the IDF and holds a Master’s in Contemporary Jewish Studies from Hebrew University.

Uri is a seasoned tour guide and speaker, having led educational trips for synagogues, federations, and interfaith groups across Israel and Europe. He’s also taught North American teens in Israel and served as Interim Director of Education at Temple Israel of Boston.

In the wake of October 7th—and with two daughters serving in the IDF—Uri has taken an active role in Israeli civil society, while continuing to teach and speak globally.

He lives in Modi’in and is active in his Reform congregation, YOZMA. Uri is passionate about connecting people to Israel’s story and strengthening Jewish identity through education and engagement.
