Goodbye to Our Rabbis

If you missed the “Goodbye to Our Rabbis” Service on Friday, June 12th, you can watch it here.

“Rabbis Weiner and Nichols have held a special place in our family’s life since we joined Temple Israel 10 years ago. We have become family friends, along with our children, sharing many a meal and game night. Both rabbis have been there for our family through the good and the bad and most recently for the life cycle event of our eldest daughter becoming a Bat Mitzvah. We are so sad to see them go but wish them only the best as they start new adventures.

I am honored to be asked to serve as the chair for this “send-off” and hope you will join our family in wishing them well.” – Julie Rosenbluth, congregant, Chair of the “Goodbye” Committee

Thank you all who gave “goodbyes,” gifts, notes, “hugs” videos, and drove through the Car Parade. Also to Cantor Schloss and Julie Rosenbluth for organizing, Maya Schloss for decorating the gift boxes, individuals who spoke during the service, and Frank Chavez and Brian Reiner for collecting the gifts on the night of the Car Parade.

Here are some pictures from the Alters’ drone during the Car Parade (other pictures will be uploaded to flickr shortly). There were OVER 200 vehicles that attended the car parade over a two hour period!
