DESCRIPTION:“For there is always light\, \nif only we’re brave enough t
 o see it. \nIf only we’re brave enough to be it.”\n\nAmanda Gorman clo
 sed her moving inaugural poem with these inspiring words. Truly we have be
 en in a dark time\, a time of pandemic. And while we are far from the end 
 of this dark time\, hopefully we can do as Ms. Gorman implores us: see the
  light\, be the light.\n\nWe will do our best on Saturday\, March 13th\, f
 or our 4th Annual Benefit for Music at Temple Israel\, via Zoom (details w
 hich will be shared upon registration)\n\nThe Beatles’ Here Comes the Su
 n\, This Little Light of Mine\, REM’s Everybody Hurts\, traditional Jewi
 sh texts Oseh Shalom and Or Zarua (Light is Sown for the Righteous)\, and 
 more will all fulfill the message of the great Leonard Cohen song\, Anthem
 : "There is a crack in everything—that’s how the light gets in."\n\nTh
 e benefit concert will raise funds to support music programming at Temple 
 Israel\, and will feature: Cantor Randall Schloss\, Leah Schloss\, The 
 Afro-Semitic Experience\, Cantor Tracey Scher\, Jim Weingast\, Dani Sar
 il\, Jeremy Klein\, Miho Sasaki\, David Sparr\, Marius Van Den Brink\,
  and  many of the talented and diverse Temple Israel family of musicians.
