SUMMARY:High Holidays 5781 – 2020
DESCRIPTION:"Welcome to 5781–Shanah Tovah!&nbsp\; We will enter it holdin
g the challenges of the past months and our hope for a better year to come
.&nbsp\; For the past 6 months\, Covid-19 has impacted every facet of our
lives.&nbsp\; Throughout these challenging times\, Temple Israel of New Ro
chelle has been guided by the Jewish value of pikuach nefesh—putting hea
lth and safety first. Our 5781 High Holiday experiences will also adhere t
o this principle as we will offer a combination of sacred community opport
unities to celebrate and observe at home\, online\, and panim el panim—f
ace to face—socially distanced and wearing masks.&nbsp\; Be sure to pick
up a “High Holidays from Home” kit\, enabling us to begin on Rosh Has
hanah eve and to conclude with Havdalah\, marking the end of Yom Kippur\,
connected together as one community. Although our primary worship services
will be online\, we invite all to participate in a variety of Elul and Hi
gh Holiday events and programs that will broaden our Jewish connection to
 each other\, our temple and ourselves.\n\nWishing you a healthy\, safe\, a
nd sweet New Year. L’shanah tovah um’tukah."\n\nRabbi Deborah A. Hirsc
